Bert Ingelaere Death – Obituary, Bert Ingelaere Has Passed Away

The staffs and members of Institute of Development Policy, located in UAntwerpen, Belgium which is a Multidisciplinary academic research, education, partnerships, political engagement organization are so sad, devastated and heartbroken, having learnt of the sudden and unexpected passing away of a friend and colleague Bert Ingelaere, on Friday 4th February 2022.

The news of the sudden demise of Bert has taken family and friends unawares as they never expected his demise at this time. The deceased according to a loved one was tagged one of the rare academics who stood above the very divisive debate on Rwanda, and has been doing this based on his long, in-depth research about the country.

The deceased was also labeled a very good role model and example to many, has left them with great sorrow and deep regret and according to a tribute from a loved one, ”No words can describe this loss as hearts are broken over this sad news. We are really saddened by this unexpected and bad news, we hereby extend thoughts and great wishes to Bert’s family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him.
