Richard L. Costenbader Jr. Death – Obituary, Richard L. Costenbader Jr. Funeral News: Richard L. Costenbader Jr. age 65 years of Paulsboro died Saturday, February 5, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. Richard was born in Woodbury and raised in West Deptford where he graduated from West Deptford High School Class of 1974. For 17 years he worked as a boiler operator at Mobil Oil Refinery and then he worked for 24-1/2 years for Rutgers in Camden as a boiler operator. He was a member of Paulsboro Sportsmen’s Club; enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Rita Costenbader (nee Meyers) of Paulsboro; his sons, Christopher and Jennifer Costenbader of Wilmington, Delaware, Craig and Lisa Costenbader of Sewell, Curt and Michelle Costenbader of Deptford; his grandchildren, Hunter, Brynn, Caroline, Mason, Colin, and Sailor; his brother, Walter and Denise Costenbader of Concord, North Carolina; his sisters, Leslie Kindle of Mullica Hill, Lynn and Bob Coffin of Carneys Point, Dale and Fred Tomarchio of Franklinville; his close friend, Jim Creedon of West Deptford and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Gloria and Richard Costenbader Sr. The Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 11, 2022, in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and Friday morning after 9:30 AM until service time. Inurnment private.
