Randy Slye Death – Obituary: The cause of death for a man found in a house fire on the near east side Saturday night was accidental, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department.

The man was found during a search of the structure and he was identified as Randy Slye, 56, according to the fire department. Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire.

The department was dispatched to the 600 block of Temple Avenue at 8:37 p.m. after a neighbor reported the fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:40 p.m. to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the front of the two-story home.

Crews had the fire contained to the front of the structure within 15 minutes and had the blaze under control by 9 p.m.
