Michael Pollock Death – Obituary, Michael Pollock Funeral News: Michael Rose Pollack is a Grammy-nominated American songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He has played for Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, Lauv, Ben Platt, Zedd, Lizzo, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Charli XCX, Dierks Bentley, Bebe Rexha, and many others. In February 2020, he achieved his first US Top 40 Radio #1 with Maroon 5’s “Memories”.
Pollack and his sister were raised by their parents in Roslyn, New York. He started playing the piano, singing, and writing songs from an early age. In his youth, he played with Billy Joel’s cover band and Billy Joel’s longtime saxophonist Richie Cannata.
After high school, Pollack moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend Vanderbilt University. During his freshman year, Billy Joel hosted a question-and-answer session for college students at Vanderbilt University’s Langford Auditorium. During the Q&A session, Pollack asked if he could perform “Mental State of New York” with the singer Billy Joel agreed to. A video of the performance was posted online and went viral. The viral video saw Pollack appear on NBC’s Today Show, Good Day in New York, Sirius XM Radio’s Morning Mash-Up, and The Jeff Probst Show.
