We have learnt from the tribute paid by Bruce LaBruce a filmmaker, writer, photographer and artist living in Toronto, whose 13th feature film “Saint-Narcisse” is currently on view internationally, the sudden demise of gay camp filmmaker James Bidgood, at age 88 on February 1st 2022.

The deceased’s only movie “Pink Narcissus,” had taken him 7 solid years, which was from 1963 to 1970, before it was premiered. All parts of the film was reportedly shot in his tiny NYC apartment, as a result of a dispute which erupted between he and the editors, he took his name off the Movie and it’s status was “Anonymous” for several years.
