Norman Resident, Ron Tucker Obituary – Death, Gladewater, Texas Born, Ron Tucker Has Died

We have lately learnt of the sudden and unexpected passing away of Ron Tucker, who was a kind and affectionate personality. Ron died on Wednesday, in the month of February on the 2nd day, at the age of 78 years. Ron’s great sense of humor was wonderful, and this made him loved and accepted by all.

The Gladewater, Texas born, Ron was welcomed by his beloved parents Thurman and Ruby Segars Tucker on January 23, 1944, and he enjoyed his juvenile days as it was so eventful and lived in the tiny town of Gordon, Texas, as his grandparents lived there with him. The deceased’s father was a professional baseball player, so this allowed the family travel to Chicago and Cleveland where his father Thurman played center field for the Indians who won the World Series in 1948.

The deceased was very friendly to all, and was always welcomed anywhere he found himself as he was an easy going and kind man who had a special gift of assisting people to become the best they could be and ensuring they are given the freedom to make decisions on their own.

The deceased moved to California, Connecticut and and soon found himself again in Norman back then in 1995 where he and his wife began a manufacturing business, known as StoneHouse Marketing Services, for a period of twenty-seven years.

The family of the deceased which consisted of seven members enjoyed many happy times together as they had a great load of adventures at the Caribbean and traditional, annual swim parties and at their beloved home, Casa Lia in east Norman.

The deceased will be greatly missed by all who can relate that their successes were a result of the great influence of the deceased in their lives. We extend sincere and most heartfelt condolences to his beloved family, we ask that God grants them the fortitude to bear the great loss.
