Dale Bink Obituary – Death, Dale Bink has passed away

 Dale Bink Death – Obituary: Dale Joseph Bink (“Schmitty”), age 71, of St. Cloud, WI passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at SSM St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born on January 15, 1951 in Sturgeon Bay to the late Francis & Kathleen (Sawyer) Bink. He graduated from New Holstein High School in 1969. Dale served his country in the Army from March 25, 1971 until March 24, 1973. He remained in the Army Reserves until March 24, 1977. On May 15, 1976 he married the love of his life, Mary Feldner, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary.

Dale was a member of Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Catholic Church where he also ushered and was grounds keeper for the parish. He was a member of the St. Cloud Volunteer Fire Department, a Life-Time member of Riverside Hunting and Fishing Club, the St. Cloud Athletic Club, and the Harvey Blonigen Legion Post 478 where he formerly served 15 years as the post commander and initiated the construction of the Veteran’s Memorial at the entrance of the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery. Just a few of his many life accomplishments include starting major fundraisers for the St. Cloud Fire Department and the American Legion. He was a founding member of the Riverside Hunting and Fishing Club banquet committee as well as Booster Day for the St. Cloud Athletic Club. Dale was a hunter safety instructor for over 20 years and coached youth baseball for many years. He was also part of the construction crew for the St. Cloud Civic Center.

Dale worked as a bricklayer for various local contractors and was also an insurance agent for AFLAC. Most recently and since 2009, you could find Dale working for the Village of St. Cloud. Dale enjoyed fishing, sturgeon spearing, hunting and golfing but more than anything he loved the time spent with his family and their many annual family traditions including Shawano and Door County vacations and family backyard camping. He is well-known for his homemade liver paste and marinated mushrooms.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; his two sons, Scott (Angie) and Benji (Melissa) Bink; and his four grandchildren, Makenna, Mason, Trenton, and Eli all of St. Cloud; two sisters, Kay Kollat of Berlin and Mary (Jim) VanderGrinten of Eden; his brother, Bruce Bink, of Marytown. He is further survived by his two sisters-in-law, Sue (Romy) Krupp of New Holstein and Bev Feldner of St. Cloud; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Francis and Kathleen Bink; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Emil and Arlene Feldner; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Feldner, Tom Kollat, and Richard Bosma.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap will officiate. Military Rites conducted by the Harvey Blonigen American Legion Post 478 and State Military Honors will take place at the church following the Mass. Cremation will take place and Dale will be laid to rest in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery at a later date
