Jason Rivera Death, Jason Rivera Cause of Death – We have learnt lately of the tragic occurrence that saw an NYPD officer killed and another seriously injured in a shooting while they were trying to respond to a domestic incident which surmounted on Friday evening, the 21st day of January, 2022, inside a Harlem apartment, reports from authorities has disclosed.
The slain officer was identified by the police as Jason Rivera, aged 22 years old, who was reportedly fatally shot in Harlem and murdered in the line of duty on Friday.
Apart from Rivera who was killed reports made it clear that another officer 27-year-old Wilbert Mora, was wounded, and had later undergone surgery and is reportedly still fighting for his life.
From a genuine source we gathered that the incident occurred at exactly 6:15 p.m. in Harlem, when a woman reported that she was having a kind of disagreement between she and one of her sons inside her apartment, moments later some officers arrived at the apartment and met the mother another son of hers, The officers were taken to the room in the back of the apartment, where the other son of the woman who is the acclaimed suspect was.
On the arrival of the officers to the room, the door swings open and numerous shots were fired, striking both officers, which led to the death of one and severe injury of the other officer who is said to be receiving treatment at Harlem Hospital.
Further reports read thus ”The third officer shot the suspect, identified as Lashawn McNeil, in the arm and head when he tried to escape”. McNeil, aged 47, is currently in critical condition at the hospital.
We extend sincere and most heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and all that mourn his demise at this time, we pray God pardon his excesses and grant him eternal rest in his bosom. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I lost my fellow officers in the line of duty. I remember my mother’s fear for her sons when we went to work every day.
Tonight, we lost a 22 year old son, husband and police officer. Another is fighting for his life.
