Update: Kathleen Nolan is an American television and film actress for her role as Kate Housewife on the Walter Brennan ABC series The Real McCoys Kate McCoy is remembered. The veteran actress, in addition to her successful career as an actress, also served two terms as the president of the Screen Actors Guild.
In fact, she was the first female president of the guild. Nolan, a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and recipient of several awards including the Crystal Award for Women in Film, was appointed to the PBS Board of Directors in 1978 by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.
She began her acting career as a Broadway artist, playing the role of Wendy in the Styne-Comden-Green original Peter Pan (1954-55). Some of her best-known performances in TV and film include Gunsmoke, Murder, She Wrote, Meet McGraw, Ben Casey, Tombstone Territory and The Last Movie Star (2018), a British drama directed by Adam Rifkin.
Nolan, who has spent most of her career on television, made her debut in an episode of the Filco Television Theater.
