Ronald Graves obituary – Death, Ronald Graves Has Died

Ronald Graves, born in Detroit on the 5th of January, 1943 to the family of late Kenneth and Beatrice Mushall Graves, the 79 year old, who is the beloved husband of Mary Graves a resident of Colonial Drive, Ipswich, gained his heavenly wings on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, at the Beverly Hospital.

The deceased Ronald who was brought up by his parents and schooled in Warren, Mich., graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1960, and immediately after completing his high school, joined the Navy, and was of great and sincere service to the group for a period of 30 years.

Ronald had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, and then rose through the rank to become a master chief petty officer, and wherever the deceased found himself or was being stationed, he immediately embraced their local culture, and acted as a bonafide part of the community, which helped him to make many friends everywhere he found himself.

Graves who served as a constable for over 20 years, was the overseer in the election process in Ipswich, and aside this, he was a member of the boards of Friends of Ipswich Elderly FOIE Senior Care, having served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Ron loved his wife Mary, who he had been married to for 34 years and his grandchildren.

Ron traveled the world, but, later in his life he found a home in Ipswich, and confessed that all his 33 years living in Ipswich were the happiest of his life, and he was always greatly welcomed by many who were in Ipswich as they always awaited his visits because of his great sense of humor, his generosity and kindness.

Ron is survived by his two daughters, and other members of the extended family, an will be greatly missed by all who knew or tread his part when he was alive.
