Christopher Harding Death – Obituary, Christopher Harding Has Died

It is so sad, depressing heartbroken and distressing that Christopher Harding, aged 70, who had a long academic career in the department of law and criminology at Aberystwyth University. He was also responsible for the publishing of the huge body of work on criminological legal and historical subjects.

He served first as a lecturer in European law and from 1995 as professor of law, not excluding the great research on EU criminal law and policy, with the likes of the legal control and criminology of business cartels in the community. He was so famous and known by many.

He attended Hampton grammar school, where he reportedly found his beautiful and lovely life partner, Jenny who was attending the neighboring girls’ grammar school at that time. Chris had a soft spot for writing, and often did this with others, and this triggered the publishing of his numerous books, research papers from texts on EEC competition law and EU criminal law to historical texts on criminal justice.

Chris started his life by firstly moving to study for a BA in jurisprudence at University College, University of Oxford, which greatly helped in the discovery of his great and undying love for jurisprudence and penal theory. He grew up in Shepperton, Middlesex, with his parents, and three sisters.

Chris later attended the University of Exeter, to help bolster his postgraduate work in the new field of European law, which helped him secure the spot of a full-time academic post at Aberystwyth University in mid-Wales, in the mid-1970s’ before he wedded Jenny in 1974.

In his leisure period he enjoyed painting the odd watercolor, listening to music, cycling, and above all reading. He also loved travelling to numerous European countries. He and Jenny raised their three daughters in mid-Wales, as they found it to be one of the best places to live, and luckily for him he was able to come across greatly talented and interesting people.

He is survived by wife Jenny, his daughters, and all other members of the extended family. We extend sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones, we pray hi gentle soul rest peacefully in the bosom of the lord. He will be muchly missed.
