Kent Dolenc Obituary – Death
It is with a big sense of loss and deep regret that we have learnt of the sudden and unexpected passing away of Kent Dolenc, aged 60, who is a resident of Springfield. The deceased was identified as the man pronounced dead at the scene of a fatal accident on Saturday, the 12th of February, 2022.
Kent Dolenc Obituary – Death, Cause Of Death
Dolenc around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, was driving a tan 2007 Lincoln traveling west on Mechanicsburg Road and suddenly he collided head on with a trailer in the roadway, that was being pulled by a white 2011 Ford pickup truck.
At the time of the accident, we learnt that, Dolenc was the only occupant and driver of the van and for reasons unknown failed to stop, and this caused his van collide with the trailer, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

We extend sincere and most heartfelt condolences to the family friends, and well wishers, we ask that God almighty grant the soul of the deceased repose in his bosom. And pardon all the shortcomings and excesses. May his Gentle and loving soul rest peacefully.
Note – An autopsy is scheduled for Monday and the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office and the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office are to continue to investigate this incident, till all needed information is made available.
